It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of the band Misterwives, in fact, I can confidently say that they are one of my favorite bands I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to. They’re a band that has wonderful energy, amazing lyrics and powerful vocals, and the mixture of it all works oh so well.

If you aren’t familiar with the band Misterwives, I would strongly recommend you change that. In fact, you can read my first blog post, “Why Misterwives Is Everything You Need In Life” to know why this band is so amazing.

Today, I’ve decided to do a quick post about the newly released music video for the single, “Not Your Way”, a song that is a personal favorite from their debut album “Our Own House”. The song is filled with lyrics that support the idea of female empowerment and highlight the accomplishments of, how Mandy says, far women have come.

In an interview with with LennyLetter.com, Mandy, the lead vocalist, says that the video pays tribute to the suffrage movement and that it just does. Now, I don’t want to give too much away because I want all of you to watch this video, but I absolutely adored it. What I will say about it however, is that I loved the concept of it, especially the fact it was the theme of a silent film.

I don’t know if it’s because I was a huge fan of the film “The Artist”, a silent movie film that was released in 2011, but I loved the fact that this music video is in the style of a silent film, despite the song overlaying it of course. It’s a meaningful music video with a great story line, and makes a statement.

This band never ceases to amaze me, and like I’ve said before, I can’t wait to see what they’re going to be delivering with their second album. For now though, I’ll be watching Not Your Way until then, and if you yourself want to see it, please click the link below!
